With the air, 2015

Balloons, various jars, various furnitures, flour and air

It is extremely difficult to capture the essence of the air around us. The temperature. The humidity. The touch. The flow. The residue, knowledge, spirituality and other quintessence that comes with. In this installation the artist is searching for indirect proof, (proof by contradiction) some verification to the air´s essence. Black balloons are filled with flour in order to guarantee no air is resting in the balloons.  In comparison the skin colour balloons are filled with air as they are confined to the size of the jar. Those organised in symmetry to create scales like situation and both are following the contour of furnitures that were found in the room. It is just that the light balloons are then suspended and the heavy balloons stay sluggard on the furniture
